CNBC’s 5 Day Biz Fix is part follow doc and part home makeover show — Chip and Diana meet The Profit. The show captured the dynamic between the husband and wife team behind KCC Design + Build, a firm that takes struggling businesses and flips them into newer, more profitable businesses in just 5 days.
Jess’s title on this show was supervising producer.
Jess directed story in the field on the first two episodes alongside the show runner. Later, she wrote and directed multi-cam scenes and interviews in the field as well. In post production, Jess post produced and managed the edits of the first two episodes with a team of two editors to create a format and establish tone. She synthesized heavy rounds of notes with conflicting points of view from network stakeholders to deliver episodes on schedule.
